DermalogicaLogoHi Mary, what an absolute joy to have you share your wisdom with our students last night. Everyone commented on what great energy you have and how motivated they felt after your presentation. The whole evening was a great success and there is no doubt in my mind that the group took away hugely valuable gems.

Dear Mary, thank you for an inspiring, thought provoking and enjoyable evening yesterday. The feedback has been very positive and everyone found the session very useful indeed. It had a lot to do with the food analogy, as well as your positive and bubbly approach. I look forward to meeting again with you soon. Once again, thank you. It has been a great pleasure….

Mary’s presentation for an audience of skin and body therapists at the International Dermal Institute, was a roaring success. With her incredible energy and down to earth approach to self motivation and business drive, Mary makes you feel that anything is achievable.

M

Her ideas are usable and realistic and inspire action. For a group of therapists who give so much in their work each day, it was a joy to see each one of them absorbing The Life Chef generous offerings and leaving with very full bellies. Thank you Mary, it was an evening that will stay with us all always!

I am currently employed as a Deputy Director (Facilities) responsible for over 67 buildings in the South East. Over the past few years I have gone through a multitude of life issues which were on the verge of affecting my health and well being in a very negative way. I was recommended Mary by a health  practitioner who could not praise Mary highly enough.

I approached the experience with some trepidation not knowing what to expect but knowing that unless I did something to help myself my health issues would become more serious. From the first conversation I had with Mary she put me at my ease and has shown me new ways of approaching my issues which have helped improve the quality of my life. Mary does not provide me with all of the answers but instead guides and challenges me to come up with solutions myself that empower me and ensure I own my actions.

Mary provides regular help and support via email and even when the going gets tough and I relapse into my old ways she does not criticise but points out how I can learn from each experience. I know that I still have a way to go but things are already improving in my life when a few months ago I had all but given up hope of turning my life into a more enjoyable and positive experience.”

When I heard RADAR was looking for coaches for their forthcoming leadership work I immediately thought to put Mary’s name forward. Mary has recently coached me to successful completion of my coaching diploma.

x

She was one of the facilitators at the two day coaching training that I attended. I found Mary to be fun to work with, committed to and talented at coaching and sensitive to my disability. Mary was not initially my assigned coach, but I put in a request for her as I felt an immediate affinity with her. The defining reason for requesting Mary was that she was entirely unfazed by my sight loss and simply provided excellent coaching, which is exactly what I was after.

x

Mary has challenged me whilst, being respectful of my need to do things slightly differently due to my sight loss, and has kept me on track to achieve the successful outcome I was working towards

I have been working with Mary off and on for over a year now and find coaching with the life chef challenges me more as the months pass. Mary is very direct as well as always remaining impartial and always 100% professional which cannot be overrated when often dealing with highly delicate and emotional issues.

.

I find myself much clearer on what I want to get out of my life and what is possible if you want to achieve thanks to my coaching sessions. It’s all to easy to have goals but to keep them in the back of your head – working with Mary clarifies them and sets a clear path so you feel focused and connect with what you want.

.

I have had coaching before from a client of mine but have to say I find Mary’s style a lot more effective, she seems genuinely involved with her clients and because she takes the time to get to know her clients needs and what they are like as people she is much more able to offer really sound coaching advice as she knows the nuances of each and her advice therefore is not just standard motivational stuff but tailor made for the individual.

I think the best thing about coaching in general is that whatever your goal is it is demonstrated as being achievable and that is half the battle. CB London Marketing, Sales and Account Manager for Recruitment Agency (Career Coaching, Sales Training)

Supernanny eat your heart out, we have a 2 , 5 and 13 year old and it has been really challenging, managing all three of them and trying to discipline them as well as spend quality time with them. Since our divorce our youngest has had severe speech and sleeping problems. We tried everything and whilst things were improving slightly it was still an uphill struggle, that is until a friend of ours who recently went through a very bitter divorce referred Mary.

.

She has been an angel in disguise, her ability to communicate with people on different levels and be understood is a miracle. She is firm, direct and yet soft and intuitive. The children are much better behaved, have really opened up to both myself and their father and the sleeping and speech of our youngest has really come along nicely. With Mary’s ‘Recipe’ our new tools for  communicating and the new support system, Mary has left us lighter, happier and much more positive about our future!

A heartfelt thank you from us all

What an interesting journey it has been! Thank you Mary for guiding me through. You were able to give me enough support and knowledge throughout the coaching, which at times was very challenging and straight to the point- but hey why waste time. It has now been 6 months and I have changed my perception and created space for bigger and better things.

Thanks.

I was first of all really amazed at how easy each session seemed, yet the effects, both short term and long term have been nothing short of outstanding. The way I now view myself and the world around me have altered expidentially for the better. Her natural style is deceptively powerful, and months later, I know that my confidence levels and ability to coach myself in times of uncertainty have meant I am simply a happier and more fulfilled person. I have, and will continue to recommend The Life Chef to anybody who wants to experience a better life for themselves.

As usual a woman of few words!!!!!

Things are going really well thanks. The ‘new’ job is now not so new, and I have already received my first pay rise after 5 months! I am fast learning the number 1 rule of entrepreneurialism – everything takes twice as long as you think it will!!!! The business is really still at an embryonic stage and therefore it is challenging to set realistic targets at this juncture. On this basis I have assigned ‘Year 1′ as my building and development year, so whilst the commission is not rolling in, I have the time and opportunity to learn, which I would not otherwise have had. Furthermore being the first employee I can recognise the strategic advantages of such positioning, especially as the organisation has now added another 7 employees since I joined.

I have split my development in to personal, sales and product training. The product training comes mainly from engagement and my colleagues, whereas the sales and personal is mostly self-taught. I have ordered a few sales books, and am currently reading Daniel Goleman’s ‘emotional intelligence’ and Cialdini’s ‘Influence,’ both of which I am sure you are familiar with. Whilst my intentions are good, I undoubtedly have a pile of books to get through and never seem to find the time to do it. Perhaps i should buy a book on ‘time-management’!!!!!!

You will be interested to know that my boss cannot believe how well focused I am, and that he has never met someone who knows where they are going as much as I do. This really intrigued me, but when I think about it, it really should be the case. How many other people have had the chance to sit down for 6 months and work out what they want from a job and their life? I like to think you should share in some of that reflected glory – even though you will respond by telling me that its all me!!!!!!

My challenges are of a different sort from when we spoke – I have got rid of the ‘fuzzyness’ and have a very clear idea of what I need to do to be successful not just in this role, but in general.

Hope all is well and speak soon,

R M London (Career Coaching)

Mary what you have done for our company and my husband is nothing short of a miracle and I am truly, truly thankful, and I can’t believe you have cut the ties! Working in the city can be a very stressful environment and I was really, really worried he was on the verge of burning out or worse still. We recently watched a family friend go through a stress related tragedy and it was awful time, yet at the same time it made us realise that life is so short and precious and it was time we really appreciated it and made some crucial changes….business is going incredibly well, has it’s ups and downs as we discussed, but overall it is moving in the right direction. Thank you.
